Hot and sexy mt. Kenya but no vacancy
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has declared his interest in the country’s top seat delivering bad news to Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga, Gideon Moi among presidential aspirants in the year 2022.
Kabogo has spoken to the Standard informing that those leaders running for the Presidency including all those brokering the votes of the region should not think that the region has a leadership vacuum stating the President Uhuru Kenyatta remains the Kingpin of Mt Kenya region.
The former Kiambu Governor has said that those claiming that the region shall not be in the presidential contest should forget easily since a leader shall soon emerge.
“People think Mt Kenya has a vacuum; what vacuum? We are there. Uhuru is the reigning leader of Kenya as a nation, he is also our leader as Kikuyus. By the time he leaves, other leaders will emerge,” Kabogo said.
Mr. Kabogo has continued to state that he will be running for the Presidential Seat come the year 2022 and that when the list of those contesting the Presidency is prepared, he should not be left out.
According to Kabogo, he has expressed his belief that he will be able to propel the flag of the region to victory praising himself as a strong leader from President Uhuru’s backyard.
“Already we have emerged, and don’t count me out. I am a strong leader of Mt Kenya and if my people back me, next year’s election will be a serious contest,” he added.
The remarks from Mr. Kabogo is a blow to many leaders who have been seeking the regions support for their presidential seat among them Gideon Moi[KANU leader], Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga including Jubilee Vice-Chairman David Murathe and who has been on the record alleging that Mt Kenya will back Raila Odinga for President.
