Uk Scholarships are now open for applicants~How To Apply
The United Kingdom has announced that the applications for the 2022/2023 Chevening Scholarships are now open.
The project, which is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office together with partner organisations, offers awards to successful applicants to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree.
The award is synonymous with various influential personalities and top journalists such as NTV news anchor James Smart, KTN’s Timothy Otieno, Asha Mwilu, former Sports CS Hassan Wario and veteran journalist Alex Chamwada.
The deadline for the lucrative scholarship application is Tuesday, November 2, at midnight.
The successful scholars will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh140,549 per month for those outside London, while for those within London will receive Ksh173,809.
The process of selecting scholars takes a minimum of eight months from application deadline to when applicants are conditionally selected.
Eligibility
Those considering to apply must meet the following criteria:
The candidate must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
The scholar must return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their award has ended.
The candidate must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree, that would enable them gain entry into a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their applications. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class honours degree in the UK but may be different depending on the course and university choice.
He or she should have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
The scholar must apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by July 14, 2022.
How To Apply
Select your country/territory and the type of award; either scholarship or fellowship.
Key in your login details: For a new user, they will have to provide required personal information such as name, email address, telephone number, postal address, state and postal code.
A link to activate your account will be sent to your email.
Once activated, fill in a new eligibility questionnaire based on the criteria stipulated above.
Once filled, complete the pre-screen questionnaire for the system to determine if you will be able to fill the application form.
The candidate will now be required to fill in five new tabs: background, essay questions, application information, terms and conditions and uploading of documents.
Once done, click submit to Chevening.
