A Friday morning interview on Citizen TV’s Day Break show turned heated after one of the guests, Ruth Ambogo, launched into a tirade instead of answering questions posed to her.

The supposed youth policy analyst was asked by the show host Trevor Ombija to explain how she thinks the next government will create employment opportunities for the youth but she, instead, went on a rant on live TV.

“For a very long period of time I have suggested so many policy changes that have been adopted by the government and I know that nobody wants to hear this because there is a narrative that is being pushed by these young people sitting here that I am just an appointee serving a master but I am not an appointee serving a master,” she said angrily.

She was referring to entrepreneur Steve Biko and Strugglers Movement youth leader Rebecca Moraa who were also part of the panel discussing youth affairs on the show.

Ambogo proceeded to state, matter of factly, that she got her appointment fairly despite allegedly being denied government positions for purportedly not having a university degree.Ambogo proceeded to state, matter of factly, that she got her appointment fairly despite allegedly being denied government positions for purportedly not having a university degree.

At this point, Ombija had had enough of the rant and requested Ambogo to stop beating around the bush and answer the question.

“You are not answering my question. This is my show. When I ask you a question you should answer,” Ombija said.

Straightaway, Ambogo threatened to leave, to which Ombija said she was allowed to do so. The youth policy expert then proceeded to storm out of the interview.
