Katse Girls school in Kitui has been closed indefinitely after students fled the institution after they saw ‘white people’ dancing inside dormitory at night.

The students spotted the people which prompted them to run away and hide in a nearby Katuka primary school.

“The principal and the watchman went to Form Three and Fours dormitory to find out what had happened only to find that they were all not in the dormitory,” the report read in part.

The matter was then reported at Mumoni Police Station and the scene was visited by officers who established that a total of 46 students were missing.

A student then told the principal and officers that they all woke up at midnight and fled after they spotted white people dancing in the dormitory.

“They ran away, hid at Katuka Primary School for safety and thereafter each one of them went to their respective homes,” the report read in part.

A meeting by the Board of Management was later held where it was agreed that the school is closed.
