The criminals pushed one of them through a space on the church’s roof while they also broke through the main door to access the room.

One of them was arrested and held at the Itumbe Police Station.

According to the area chief, Henry Mirera, the suspect was identified as a resident of Kenyanya sub-county.

Theft of church equipment has been rampant in Kisii with religious leaders decrying the insecurity issues in the region.

Just recently, Nyagiki Pentecostal Assemblies of God ( PAG) pastor, Geoffrey Gwaro came out gun blazing after the church was robbed twice in a month and lost communication equipment and chairs in the process.
