Dwellers of several estates in Nairobi have been notified of an impending power blackout due to a scheduled maintenance by Kenya Power.
The power supplier, in a notice on Tuesday, said that the outage will be experienced in the Gigiri, Runda and Lavington areas in Nairobi on Wednesday.
The UN, UN Avenue, United Nations Crescent, Two Rivers Mall, Whispers Avenue, Daisy Road, Magnolia Close, Part of Ruaka Road, Mae Properties, Mae Ridge and Runda Water are among the locales set to be affected.
Other zones include: Eluid Mathu, Benin Drive, Puffin Drive Elia and Andrew Zagoritis, Runda Road, Runda Drive, Mimosa Drive, Mimosa Ridge, Runda Riviera, Runda Gardens, Potterhouse School, Runda Mumwe, Glory Drive, Faith Avenue and the Pan Africa Insurance.
In the Lavington area, Jacaranda, Masanduku, Gitanga Rd, Mbaazi Avenue, Gitanga Close and Muthangari Road locales will also face outages.
Additionally, Coast region zones such as Mombasa Academy, English Point Greenwood Apts, Light Academy, Coral Drive, Koroga Hotel, Moyne Drive, and other neighborhoods in Nyali will not have power for a part of the day.
Kenya Power noted that residents of some parts of Kilifi, Makueni and Bungoma counties will also be affected by the maintenance.
