Kenya’s Superfan killed by unknown men in his Mumias home

Kenya’s foremost football fan, Isaac Juma is dead following an attack by unknown assailants yesterday in his Mumias home in Kakamega County.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that he had previously complained that some people have wanted to grab his land for a long time.

Juma, who had settled in Nakuru as a newspaper vendor relocated back to Kakamega County.

According to several reports, Juma was slashed to dead by people who are yet to be identified.

Mumias West OCPD Stephen Muoni confirmed Juma’s death, adding that one of the two key suspects has since been arrested in relation to the incident as a manhunt for the other continues.

“We may as well arraign him today depending on how fast our investigations materialise,” said Muoni.

“He was in his house when he heard a commotion in his sheep pen. Going out together with his son and brother the two men hacked Juma to death as his son and brother narrowly escaped,” added the OCPD.

Juma,56, retired to his ancestral land in Mumias from Nakuru where he used to work as a newspaper vendor.
