Waiguru’s Reference to Ruto as Leader Of The Azimio La Umoja Causes Stir Online

Speaking at Ngong Racecourse, where parties officially appended their signatures to join Kenya Kwanza, Waiguru referred to Ruto as the leader of the Azimio la Umoja alliance.
The Kirinyaga County boss immediately halted her speech to apologise to the DP who is also the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate.
“Your excellency the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya and the party leader of UDA and the leader of the Azimio alliance…,” Waiguru gasped, before pausing.
“Sorry, Oh my goodness!…. And the leader of the Kenya Kwanza alliance. My sincere apologies, because I was thinking about what I was going to say about them,” she apologised as she continued with her speech.
Waiguru adds to the list of politicians allied to UDA and the newly formed Kenya Kwanza alliance who have referred to it as Azimio la Umoja, their biggest rival in the August 9 General Election.
On February 11, Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula mistakenly campaigned for Azimio led by former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, during a rally in Nakuru County.
