Raila Odinga Beats Dp Ruto With a Margin in Latest IPSOS Poll

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has edged out Deputy President William Ruto in the latest polls released by IPSOS.

Raila’s popularity stood at 47 per cent while Ruto’s was at 41 per cent, 6 days to the hotly contested August 9 polls.

Root’s party leader George Wajackoyah had 2.9 per cent while David Mwaure of Agano party has 0.2 per cent.

IPSOS stated that Mwaure was unknown to voters hence his dismal performance.

A new Tifa poll for Nairobi County shows that Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential flagbearer, Raila Odinga, had widened the gap between him and his Kenya Kwanza competitor, Deputy President William Ruto.

The poll showed that Raila Odinga is the most preferred presidential candidate in Nairobi county with a 52 per cent approval rating while that of Ruto stood at 34 per cent.

According to the poll released on Tuesday, August 2, Raila is also the most preferred presidential aspirant in Kajiado county with a 47 per cent approval rating against Ruto’s 39 per cent.

In Nairobi county, ODM’s Esther Passaris is the most preferred Woman Rep candidate in Nairobi with 44 per cent, and UDA’s Millicent Omanga comes second at 28 per cent.

The poll indicated that Nairobi Senator Johnson Arthur Sakaja’s support increased from 23 per cent to 53 per cent, making him the most popular gubernatorial aspirant in the city. Polycarp Igathe’s popularity stood at 36 per cent.

ODM is the most popular party in Nairobi County. The proportion of those undecided about the party they support has declined over the last four months (44  per cent to 20 per cent).
