Earlier,Sakaja took to his social media to thank Nairobians for their overwhelming support.

“Thank you, Nairobi for the overwhelming support. 56% is not a joke,” said Sakaja.

Sakaja who is currently serving as Nairobi Senator was declared winner of the top position on Friday, August 12.

This comes after the latter accused the Communication Authority of Kenya Director Ezra Chiloba of pulling down his adjacent tallying portal. He argued that the director was being used by the state to frustrate him in updating his supporters how the race was faring. He stated, “As expected, Deep state through, Ezra Chiloba (you are too predictable), have pulled down the results portal. Use this link instead to access all Nairobi polling station forms.”

This comes at a time time the country is anticipating for the winner of the presidential election. The issuing of provisional results that had been ongoing seen to have stopped abruptly. The election body, IEBC is expected to declare the winner in the next few days. What are your thoughts on this story? Share your insights down below.
