Jubilee party nominates Waluke to be PSC commissioner,he’s currently serving his 67_year jail term

Former ruling party Jubilee has nominated Sirisia Mp John Waluke to be Commissioner in the Parliamentary Service Commission.

In a letter dated November 2 addressed to National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni said the the party had picked Waluke for the position.

This move may seem as a long shot by the party at attempting to free Waluke who is currently serving his 67-jail term over fraud.

Even so this will be a tough nut to crack as the Director of Public Prosecutions today asked the Court of Appeal not to grant the Mp bail pending the hearing of his appeal.

Waluke and his business partner Grace Wakhungu were sent back to prison by the High court after it upheld a decision by the Magistrates court that found the duo guilty of fraudulently acquiring Sh313 million from a government agency.

It is alleged that they fraudulently acquired the Sh313 million purporting it to be the costs of storage of 40,000 metric tonnes of white maize purportedly incurred by Chelsea Freights.

They were aggrieved with their conviction and sentencing and subsequently filed an appeal at the High court.
