Mapema ndo best!’Bhang Gives Me Strength To Till My Farm,’ Kakamega Man Tells Court

A 22-year-old man from Navakholo, Kakamega County will know his fate on December 9, 2022 after he was arraigned for being in possession of bhang.

The suspect was arrested on November 24, 2022 in Sivilie village in Bunyala East with bhang worth an estimated Ksh.20,000.

Appearing before Kakamega magistrate Carol Cheruiyot the accused, Ian Wanjala, told the court that marijuana gives him strength to practice farming.

Prosecution, led by Emily Owore told the court that the suspect was found in possession of 144 plantations of the illegal substance.

Seeking leniency from the magistrate, Wafula added that he is a law abiding citizen who opted to seek his livelihood through farming instead of engaging in crime.

The matter will be heard on December 9, 2022.
