Truth Behind CJ Koome’s Admission to Kenyatta Hospital
The Judiciary of Kenya flagged reports that Chief Justice Martha Koome had been admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital as fake.
In a statement dated Thursday, January 19, the Judiciary noted that the reports had circulated widely on various social media platforms and other news outlets.
Kenyans were therefore urged to disregard the reports that were untrue.
Further, online users were urged to desist from spreading false information amongst themselves on social media platforms.
Reports of Koome’s admission emerged on Wednesday, January 18 as it was alleged that she was taken ill and rushed to the country’s referral hospital.
However, the misleading reports did not indicate what the CJ was suffering from.
It had been alleged that she was ill given that she had not been seen in public for a while.
