Tell us what you want, if not handshake?Mudavadi to Raila

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has dared Azimio leader Raila Odinga to come clean about what he wants, if not a handshake.

Mudavadi said Raila always refuses to accept presidential election results and in the end strikes a working with the same governments.

He cited the three previous administrations, which Raila campaigned against but later on had a working agreement with all of them.

They include that of late President Daniel Moi under the Kenya African National Union party, late President Mwai Kibaki’s second term and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Kwa hivyo usituzungushe na kusema you don’t accept, earlier ulisema you don’t accept President Moi’s government next there was co-operation, next you said you don’t accept President Kibaki’s government there was a grand coalition, you said you don’t accept President Uhuru’s government there was a handshake, now you are saying you don’t want to accept President Ruto’s government, so tell us what do you want?” Mudavadi posed on Sunday.

Raila has, however, insisted that he does not want a handshake or any form of negotiations with Ruto.

All he wants is for Ruto to resign and let him take over the reigns of the country as the legitimately elected president.

Mudavadi said if the opposition has refused to believe that Ruto is the head of state, then that is their wish.

The Prime CS insisted that Ruto is the president and no one can change that.

“If you don’t want to believe that William Ruto is the President that is your wish, but it is not the reality, the reality is that William Ruto is the President,” he said.

Mudavadi had accompanied President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua for an Interdenominational prayer service at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok.
