‘Raila received Ksh10B from Kikuyu financiers to destabilise Ruto’s government’ – Thika Town MP claims

Thika Town Member of Parliament (MP) Alice Ng’ang’a now claims opposition leader Raila Odinga received Ksh10 billion from financiers she did not disclose to facilitate his mass protests against the Kenya Kwanza government.

The lawmaker, who spoke at AIPCA church in Thika on Sunday, March 20, 2023 during a thanksgiving event organized by Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria claimed that Raila received the money at a hotel.

She stated that the current administration has all the information on the transaction including where it happened and how and has the “requisite pictorial evidence that can justify the claims”.

While warning Raila that his “old gimmicks” will not cow President William Ruto’s government from delivering on all the promises made to Kenyans during campaigns, the legislator took issue with the Azimio leader for “destroying businesses owned by members of the Kikuyu community”.

“We will spare the name of your financiers today but we know they are Kikuyus like me and they once held very powerful positions in government.

“We know you received Sh 10 billion to destabilise the government through protests, we even have photos of how the deal was sealed,” Ng’ang’a said.

“Those financing you should come out and declare their interests, they should tell us openly about their position and how they intend to benefit when businesses and the Kenyan economy is sabotaged,” added the MP.
