Moses Kuria has denied reports that he has resigned as Gatundu South MP; says that his life in danger, reports to DCI.

The move follow after sources claim that he has tendered his resignation letter to the Speaker of the national assembly on Thursday.

The Gatundu South MP had apologised to President Uhuru Kenyatta over his new year’s eve remarks that the Central Kenya region has been neglected.

“I want to say this, as we come to the end of 2019, I want you to think a seriously about your habit of voting in large numbers only to end up missing out on development projects,” he said.

Earlier Yesterday,Moses Kuria canceled a press conference which was understood to have been intended to announce his resignation.

Kuria, whose recent criticism of President Uhuru Kenyatta has earned him an rebel’s reputation within the Jubilee party, called off his presser yesterday for fear of his life.

The MP was to hold a press conference yesterday at Hotel Boulevard on Wednesday, January 9, but cancelled at the last minute with his handlers claiming there is a lot of pressure and the outspoken MP fears for his life.

His contact person Josiah Murigu told sources that the MP intended to announce his resignation yesterday as Gatundu South MP but there was a lot pressure from various quarters which made him fear for his life.

“The MP fears for his life and until his security is guaranteed, he does not want to appear in public and as such the press conference stands cancelled,” Murigu said on phone.
