Turkana East MP Ali Lokiru faults William Kamket over ‘inciteful’ remarks on Kapedo

Turkana East MP Ali Mohammed Lokiru has raised concerns against alleged inciteful remarks by Tiaty MP Kassait Kamket.

Through his social media page, the Turkana East MP termed Kamket’s statement ‘very unfortunate’

“Very unfortunate a statement from a leader, read the court verdict properly,”he said.

On Saturday, Kamket had stated that Kapedo and Mukutani are in Tiaty Constituency and anybody interfering with his territory will be dealt with.

Kamket said the location of Kapedo had been decided by the courts.

However Lokiru said his Tiaty counterpart misinterpreted the court verdict.

“Your statement is calculated to scuttle the peace process spearheaded by Pokot and Turkana leaders,”said Lokiru.

He said Kamket was beating the drums of war and urged security agencies to take action.

“You have started the drums of war and we hope security agents are awake.” he reiterated further
